Another Award For The Cave Of Cool

This is a good one because it forces me to admit that most everything I write about (especially those personal stories) is 100% true.

I may have, on occasion, fudged some details, about how large and technically advanced the 'Cave of Cool' actually is, however.

I also may have embellished the number of agents I currently have actively killing cephalopods around the world. These, however, are not things that we need ever admit to our octopus enemies.

You best retell these lies also if you want to live in a world that is safe for you and your families. There will always be things in the ocean that do not sleep (or live if BP has it's way) and a little fib to protect the children is not a bad thing.

Did we have anything to do with the leaking oil in the Gulf of Mexico? No. That kind of overkill also endangers the kinds of animals like shrimp that we here at the 'Cave of Cool' enjoy to eat.

We are not the kind of organization that cuts off it's nose to spite it's face. We prefer the surgical strike to the carpet bombing.

So thank you to Cora for giving us this award and forcing me to admit some uncomfortable truths. I hope you all feel better. I know I do.

I pass on this award to those who can spin a good yarn, true or not. In fact it's the ones who tell the true stories so well that are usually the most entertaining fibbers. It's harder to tell an entertaining lie because you really have to remember the facts you make up. As my Dad would always say - The truth is simple and easy. A lie gives the listener too much information.

Congratulations to my favorite storytellers - Pat, T.S., The Invisible Seductress, Stacey Says, Pearl, and Robyn
